- Ofir, I have looked over your list, and I like it. All of them make
- sense, and they're things that people are used to.

- You are right to say that our purpose here is to find a shared standard
- based on things that have been used before, rather than develop something
- entirely new that people have no experience with.

- However, this is not enough. It's not enough to just put together things
- we have into our standard. We would be foolish to do this blindly.
- Rather, we should consider the logic of those that are already
- standardized and see if they're acceptable.

- Ctrl-A is a bad thing. The fact that it has been accepted by two
- standards is totally irrelevant, because we must use our intelligence to
- see that it causes problems, and therefore should not be in the standard,
- lest we end up with a potentially dangerous standard.

- Of those keypress you mentioned in your standard, there are only 3 that I
- disagree with, and I've already mentioned them.
